Bernard Chan (Cello)
Sally Law (Violinist) is currently having an orchestral career with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. She was also a violinist of Cong Quartet from 2019-2020. Past engagements include participating in the Lucerne Festival Academy 2019, the Tongyeong Music Festival 2018, a collaboration at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center with Reeps One, world champion beatboxer; performances at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Buckingham Palace with Maxim Vengerov and John Wilson for HRH the Prince of Wales; playing alongside members of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe; and a solo concert for HRH Princess Alexandra.
Sally graduated from the Royal College of Music as a Tait Trust Scholar supported by a Study Award, where she studied violin with Professor Jan Repko and piano with Professor Kathron Sturrock. During her studies, she was supported by the Neville Wathen Scholarship, Australian Music Foundation Young Musician Award (2013), and Australia AMEB Joyce Phillips Award (2014). Sally has performed in masterclasses with Alina Ibragimova, Alexander Markov, Dong Suk Kang and Alexander Bonduryansky.
Bernard Chan (Cellist) is born and raised in Hong Kong, Bernard graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) under the tutelage of Letty Poon, and recently finished the Master of Arts degree with distinction at the Royal Academy of Music where he studied with Professor David Strange.
Bernard is active both in orchestral and chamber music. He is now a guest tutti cellist of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Bernard is frequently featured as a soloist in Tai Kwun’s afternoon concert series. In 2014, he toured with the Asian Youth Orchestra.
Bernard is recently collaborating with several renowned HK artists, CY Leo, Per se, Jason Chen, etc on their CD project. He is also going to perform in projects from Hong Kong Arts Festival and More Than Musical.
Bernard is the recipient of multiple scholarships, including the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Award, Breguet Trey Lee Performing Arts Scholarship for two consecutive years, and etc.
Bernard played in masterclasses of renowned artists such as Gary Hoffman and Colin Carr.
Bernard is also a recording artists, he has been doing recordings for movies, museum exhibitions and pop songs recently. He has been recently collaborating with various local pop artists, such as Jason Chen, Per se, and Iris iii, etc. He is also the main vocal of local professional A cappella group - V Sing.
