Treat yourselves to an inspirational musical journey to rediscover hidden gems from musical families of the 18th to the 20th centuries.

Acclaimed cellist Trey Lee will be joined by leading and aspiring local talents in a series of five concerts at Tai Kwun, performing both famous and lesser-known pieces by composers connected by kinship.

Whether it is from siblings Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn to father-and-son Wolfgang Amadeus and Franz Xaver Mozart, or from husband-and-wife Robert and Clara Schumann to in-laws Antonín Dvořák and Josef Suk, the deep bond within each of these musical pairings is evident in the compelling works selected to be featured.

Spending a lot of time at home lately? Then join us in this special concert series to explore how family dynamics have influenced the creativity of leading classical composers, while hearing of a newly commissioned piece inspired by revitalized heritage site Tai Kwun by Luk Wai-chun!
