A music drama celebrating HK harmonica history curated by world champion Cy Leo
Taking the form of a light-hearted web series, the online programme Harmonica Heroes will feature harmonica world champion CY Leo and cross-generation harmonicists in Hong Kong.
Instrumental covers of classical, folk, blues and jazz pieces, as well as beloved Cantopop tunes and original compositions, intersperse seven short episodes in an original story taking place over video chat screens starring actors and musicians. Historical photos and archive footages will also complement the humorous dramatised series.
Local harmonica musicians from different branches of musical traditions, including veteran educators, award-winning harmonicists and emerging young talents, all come together as a community to perform, celebrate and share their stories and the harmonica culture of Hong Kong.
