MUDWORK, an art and design studio founded by artists Chung Wai Ian and Ng Ka Chun in 2013, explores the contemporary situation of city space, and community and nature through sculpture/installation. In recent years, they have participated in several public/community art projects including Art in MTR, “Hi! Hill”, M+ Rover and more. Their work “Cement Ping Pong Table” was selected as part of “Public Art Scheme 2015” by the Project of Art Promotion Office.
Liv TSIM received her bachelor’s training at Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Her work have been exhibited internationally, including: The 1st Hong Kong-Shenzhen Design Biennale (Shenzhen); “Symposium: Beyond the Sound ” in French May Art Festival (Hong Kong); “Handle with Care” (Berlin); “The Edge Mini” (Brisbane); “Outside the Dwelling” (Hungary); among others. In 2020, her winning proposal, “Invasion Invader” was selected forthe Open Call of Art Future hosted by 1a space. Tsim’s practice emphasises an experience of space through organic material by sensation, under the concept of Epistemology. She is fond of exploring the inner connection between organisms, their value in society, and the relationship of species with nature. Vangi FONG graduated from the Higher Diploma Program of Visual Communication at HKU SPACE, and continued her studies at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), majoring in Visual Arts (Exhibition Design) and minoring in Humanities. Now as an independent curator and community artist, who is also a lecturer at the Academy of Visual Arts at HKBU and a learning tutor at secondary schools in Hong Kong. Focusing on social design and community engagement related projects Fong has contributed to social participatory projects for more than 10 years and co-curated various programmes.
